David Harum was a banker in the community called Homeville but his love was horse trading. The scripts provided a chance for "down home" philospophy and advice. The serial was based on the 1934 movie featuring the character, David Harum, and starring Will Rogers. Other characters were Susan Price, Aunt Polly, Deacon Perkins, and Grandpa Eph.
